The Mary Guentzel Quintet are a group of Minnesota based musicians who have joined together to play their renditions of the great standards from the 30's and 40's, along with select favorites from more recent decades.

The band centers around jazz singer Mary Guentzel. Mary is a talented vocalist with a pleasing voice. She loves to interact with her audience. You will not find Mary behind a microphone stand but rather out among her audience. Mary is a true entertainer.

The band has a jazz/swing style that has everyone moving to the music. They are an enthusiastic group and it shows in every performance. The Mary Guentzel Quintet always plays at a volume level suitable for allowing the audience to converse with one another if they wish. 

Myron Wolf's tenor sax, along with Bernie McGuire on keyboard, Ron Affolter playing the upright bass and Marvin Topp on the drums are the perfect accompaniment to the rich vocals of Mary Guentzel.
